HOPE & JOY is a ministry for children in Kindergarten through 5th grade.

HOPE & JOY are ministries of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America that reflect the Orthodox Christian faith, tradition, and life. The mission of these ministries is to lead our children into experiencing the Holy Orthodox Faith. By encouraging children to become active sacramental members of the Church, they are equipped with the tools necessary to assist them in their journey toward salvation. By a laying a foundation of faith at an early age, our children will have something that will guide and strengthen them through life.

What is HOPE?

HOPE, which stands for Holy Orthodox Primary Education, is a ministry designed to gather all of our children in Kindergarten through 2nd grade for fellowship, fun, and service. The goal of HOPE is to build relationships, friendships, and a sense of community among our parish’s youngest members. In addition, HOPE fosters an Orthodox lifestyle through the experiences of fellowship, service, and worship that characterize its meetings.

What is JOY?

JOY, which stands for Junior Orthodox Youth, is a ministry designed to gather all of our Orthodox youth in 3rd-5th grade for fellowship, fun, and service. The goal of JOY is to build friendships, togetherness, and connectedness among our youth. In today’s world, it is extremely important that our children have Orthodox friends to support them in living an Orthodox lifestyle. JOY promotes this lifestyle through the experiences of fellowship, service, and worship that characterize its meetings.
